ChaonaMahanakhon

Eco-village; Sufficiency Economy.

Their story

ChaonaMahanakhon is an eco-village and social enterprise inspired by Thailand's Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, promoting sustainable agriculture, community living, and ecological restoration. Established in 2017 on formerly degraded rice farmland in eastern Bangkok, the project has restored soil health through natural farming methods and reforestation.

Residents actively contribute to shared community spaces and learning activities, creating a hub for knowledge-sharing around regenerative agriculture and self-reliant living. Through collaboration, environmental stewardship, and community participation, ChaonaMahanakhon demonstrates an alternative model for sustainable development rooted in local wisdom and long-term ecological balance.
