Usually, local people and places have been left out of the story of tourism development.
What a visitor spends often leaves the place, and culture and place become things to sell.
Mass tourism · Local people left out
Conscious travel, local impact
XomTour is a social initiative for regenerative tourism. We arrange journeys and trainings with local hosts, so that travel supports the local economy and is practiced mindfully and responsibly.
Half-day walks to two-week journeys across Vietnam. Choose a program, tell us your dates, and we reply with a plan.
Tell us your group's learning objectives and we design a program around them, usually with two options to compare. Schools, cooperatives, social enterprises and companies have asked us for these.
Farms, craft villages, cooperatives, kitchens and stays that share this vision can join the network and take part in our programs.

Why XomTour
What a visitor spends often leaves the place, and culture and place become things to sell.
Mass tourism · Local people left out
We want tourism to become a tool for sustainable development, protection and regeneration for local people and place.
Regenerative tourism · Travel as learning
We intentionally use tourism as a tool to channel money to local people to support the local economy.
Mindful travel · Responsible tourism · Local economy

What we hold to
We intentionally use tourism as a tool to channel money to local people to support the local economy.
Every time we set foot in a place, we already have some impact on it. Mindful travel and responsible tourism are core practices we invite everyone to take part in.
Local people have lived with the land for generations. No one is more suitable than them to tell stories about the place.
At the end of the day, after you leave a place, you have more friends, a mom, a dad, a brother or a sister.
Half-day trips to two weeks, for you or designed around your group.

This way of arranging travel belongs to anyone who wants it. We would rather it spread than stay ours.
