GreenViet (meaning “Green Vietnam”) Biodiversity Conservation Center was established in October 2012 and operates across Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands. Its vision: “For the future of Vietnam where people live in harmony with nature.”

Son Tra Nature Education Center (NEC), a GreenViet project, opened to the public in December 2018. Considered a community-based project due to the enormous support from local communities, the NEC organizes experiential learning activities for students and serves as a communal space where local people contribute to environmental protection.

The Center drives positive transformation in people’s awareness and attitude towards nature, forming eco-lifestyles. Through scientific research, environmental education, and community engagement, GreenViet demonstrates how conservation efforts can protect Vietnam’s rich biodiversity — from the red-shanked douc langurs of Son Tra Peninsula to the highland forests — for future generations.
